Crimson clover is an annual clover that can be seeded in mid to late summer. This clover will come back the following spring/summer in most areas. It makes a great kill plot planting, or it can be used as a plow down crop (green manure).

The seed was delivered in no time. I planted the clover and brassicas together and the food plot is doing amazing! I have never had any issues with the seed, always does great! I would highly recommend any and everybody to give Northwoods Whitetail a try, you will not be disappointed. They are my #1 food plots choice!

I did as you stated in your videos and I purchased the sandy soil builder and the Crimson Clover together. I planted them on May 6 2026 and so far they are starting to grow. Here in Maine we still are getting some morning \s in the 30's though so it will be a while.
Your Crimson Clover is a powerhouse the Spring following a fall planting. It’s a staple in my food plot program.

Just planted some red clover today in Gwinn Area with rain in forecast for next several days. Seed spread well through my hand seeder. First time planting red clover on my property.

I frost seed the crimson clover in late February as a nurse crop for a new plot. Checked it today(3/22). Looks like I got good germination.
The germination rate is excellent, the growth rate is good, and the deer love the crimson clover.
Look forward to seeing how it performs this summer, along with the Milo
