We understand all land and all soil is not created equal. Many folks are in a situation where they have to plant in sand or sandy soils. Most products available today simply won’t perform as hoped. We are now offering a blend for sandy soils. We have taken our highly successful Fall Forage and adapted it to grow in less-than-ideal soils. We have planted this for years in trials with great success in Upper Michigan clay and sand. 75 to 100 pounds per acre in mid-August with a 50-pound rye overseed in September seemed to get the best results for us. Those planting dates can be moved later the further south you are from Upper Michigan.

Planted in mid-August. All 5 of my fields had plenty of browse left until mid-December. Had deer visit throughout the day. Best results of any seed to date.
Will see what happens it’s been a little over a week and seed hasn’t started to germinate yet. Lack of moisture so I’ll give it few more days.

Soil wasn't the best but it still came up good
Everything is coming up really well however this is the first year the brassica is about 50/50 rate on germination. And we have not changed anything in or process. Last year the brassica was phenominal.we are going to give it a few more days then reseed with something in the bare spots if we need to.

We've received zero rain since planting the seed but it is already starting to grow. We are expecting rain this weekend and hope it will give the food plots a jolt that it needs !
Great mix for below average ground.....
The seed sprouted after 7 days. I put it in with a fertilizer. I haven't seen it now in 10 days so I am not sure where it is at now.

Planted a few weeks, good results but some thin areas. I have a couple bags left and will seed over this weekend. Hopefully deer will enjoy it?
