“Outstanding Growth and Deer Activity!”
All I can say is WOW! I planted the Winter Peas with Sweet Feast Brassicas mix in August 2025, and by the end of September it was nearly knee high. My 2-acre plot is packed with deer every day — they’re absolutely hammering it!
After talking with Northwoods about proper seedbed preparation, I followed their recommendations exactly and it made all the difference. I sprayed the field, waited about 10 days, used a disc-chisel plow, waited for weeds to regrow, sprayed again, then hit it with a field cultivator. After letting the ground rest a couple of days, I planted using my four-wheeler with a front-mounted seeder and a cultipacker.
The plot came in thick, lush, and extremely attractive to deer. Couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend this mix and Northwoods’ advice — top-notch quality and performance!
