We have tested these oats for years in Michigan and Wisconsin and the results are always the same. Deer simply love these oats. This is the same oat variety we use in our Fall Forage, Fall Forage Sandy Soil Blend and Northwoods Green Forage Blend. This is a great addition to any food plot. We have seen constant use from September until Mid November in our test areas. This is the highest attraction, cold tolerant oat we have tested. We have seen deer use our oats and ignore the big buck "frost tolerant" forage oats in side by side tests in multiple states.

Hello! Great company. I bought 2 bags of pure chickory seed that I planted at the same times as the oats. I’m hoping the oats will serve as a cover crop fr the chickory. I planed the seed 6 days ago and the oats are already close to an 1” tall. Plenty of rain and seasonable temps.
2 things. When I ordered the ants, there was no indication they were on back order. When the chickory arrived without the oats, I inquired and got an email that the oats should shi in a few days, which they did, but it rolled back my planting date by over a week.
Secondly, there isnt much information on growing pure chickory. I’m hoping for some videos on this topic. Fertilizer, lime requirements, mowing??

Haven’t planted oats yet, but here in ny state the snow cover just melted off and I’m getting ready to plant crimson clover with oats as cover crop after speaking with John k. , if it turns out anything like the sweet feast brassica plot I planted last fall I will be happy. North woods seed is by far the best I’ve used yet and the customer service very good.
It arrived on time undamaged I’ll know more about it once I plan it, but I expect it to grow well. My soil has greatly improved in the last couple years, especially with the help of the liquid fertilizer products
Whenever I add forage oats to my fall forage blend, it seems to me that it attracts more trophy bucks! I take that back…it does attract more bucks!
