We use rye in all our destination plots, as well as many of our hunting plots. Some big name companies try to convince hunters that deer wont eat rye, but we have found all across the country that its simply not true. Not only do deer love young rye, the soil building benefits of rye are impressive as well. When fall planted rye comes back in the following spring, its the first green food the deer can eat.
